Special arrangements, including air conditioners, sprinklers and popsicles, have been made at the Jungle Safari near the Statue of Unity to protect exotic animals and birds from the scorching summer heat, officials said on Saturday. The Sardar Patel Zoological Park, popularly known as Jungle Safari, houses around 1500 animals and nearly 100 species  of birds from India and abroad. A farmer was mauled to death by a tiger in Mysuru’s Hale Heggudilu village on Friday, prompting the state forest department to suspended all trekking and safari activities in Nagarhole and Bandipur. The company continues to offer Google One subscription tiers for file storage, but without most AI features, at lower prices. The new AI tier accounted for “millions” of subscriptions, according to Shimrit Ben-Yair, a vice president at Google in charge of the subscription service. All zoos in Uttar Pradesh and the Lion Safari in the state`s Etawah district have been closed to visitors for a week after bird flu was detected in a tigress that died at a zoo in Gorakhpur, officials said on Wednesday. While authorities have directed enhanced surveillance across zoos and poultry farms, a team formed by the Central Zoo Authority will investigate the impact of avian influenza at the Gorakhpur zoo and submit its report in 15 days, they said. The zoo shutdown, effective from May 14 to 20, was ordered in line with directives issued during a high-level meeting chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday.
