PBKS coach on 3 dropped catches in IPL 2026 clash against SRH

3 min readHyderabadMay 7, 2026 07:00 AM IST The Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) vs Punjab Kings (PBKS) match was decided by fielding, and although both sides dropped their fair share of catches, the visitors giving lives to key in-form SRH batters: Heinrich Klaasen once and Ishan Kishan twice proved expensive for them in the end. The former made 69 off 43 deliveries, and the latter scored 55 off 32 balls. The missed opportunities cost PBKS dearly as they lost to SRH by 33 runs and moved to second place on the points table. Bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule cited the ball coming out of the crowd and gravity as potential reasons for the dropped catches. “Fielding under lights is not easy because the ball comes out from the lights as well as from the crowd. And you know, the higher it goes, obviously, it’s going to fall as quickly as possible, and gravity will obviously take its toll,” Bahutule said at the post-match press conference. PBKS had their plans in place. They had fielders on either square …

IPL: Rajasthan Royals coach bemoans lack of bowling partnerships in LSG loss | Ipl News

Rajasthan Royals seemed to be in prime position to win their match against the Lucknow Super Giants on Saturday but faltered at the finish of their run chase. Initially, a disciplined bowling performance from the Royals was sunk by a Sandeep Sharma over where Abdul Samad smashed him for four sixes. That 27-run over let the total go up to 180 – a target that seemed chaseable at one point, but in the end the Royals suffered a two-run loss. Rajasthan bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule lamented the performance and said that the lack of bowling partnerships was hampering the results of the team. “If it is batting or bowling, you need partnerships. We may be lacking at times with the bowling partnerships. Death overs are so hard for all the bowlers in this format. Not only ours but other bowlers have also been trying to execute to the best of their ability. But it is a tough time for any bowler to bowl,” Bahutule said after the game on Saturday night.
