The all-rounder Sam Curran has been ruled out for the rest of the summer due to a groin injury. It has been confirmed by Surrey that the youngster has been assessed for the injury and will undergo groin surgery on August 21. His latest injury woes stall his bid for a comeback in test cricket, a format he last featured in 2021. Following Ben Stokes’ retirement, Curran was being considered as a potential replacement.
