Blinkit launches NCMC Bharat Yatra Card to enable seamless public transport
Blinkit on Tuesday announced the launch of the NCMC Bharat Yatra Card, a RuPay-powered, zero-KYC prepaid card that will simplify access to public transport systems across multiple Indian cities. The initiative has been curated to eliminate the need for city-specific transport cards and enable a unified, cashless travel experience for commuters. The card has been priced at Rs 50 and has been developed in collaboration with Pine Labs and operates on the RuPay network. The card supports instant UPI top-ups, allowing users to recharge digitally and use the same card for metro rail and bus services in participating cities. The launch of this card is part of a broader effort to promote digital payments and encourage greater adoption of public transport by making ticketing and access systems more convenient and interoperable across regions.
