She posted on X that the Congress leaders should understand the sentiments of the party cadre, which alone would facilitate the party’s growth. “We are thoroughly disappointed and disgusted,” she said. Having finalised the seat-sharing talks, the Left Democratic Front (LDF) on Monday announced its candidate list for the Kottayam district panchayat divisions. In the 23-member district panchayat, the CPI(M) and the Kerala Congress (M) will contest nine seats each, and CPI in four divisions, while an LDF Independent will contest in the remaining one seat. The LDF leadership said its candidates will submit their nominations on November 18 and 19. Addressing mediapersons in Kottayam, LDF district convener Lopez Mathew said the coalition is fully prepared to contest in the three-tier panchayat/municipal elections to be held on December 9. “The process of adding names to the voters’ list was carried out well by all the constituent parties of the LDF.
