Do Deewane Seher Mein Box Office: Siddhant Chaturvedi, Mrunal Thakur starrer collects Rs. 60 lakh on Monday

Do Deewane Seher Mein Box Office: Siddhant Chaturvedi, Mrunal Thakur starrer collects Rs. 60 lakh on Monday

Do Deewane Seher Mein, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles, added around Rs. 60 lakh to the tally on its first Monday, registering a 55 per cent drop from Sunday. The drop from Friday is roughly around 50 per cent. Both of these are considered a good hold but that’s when films are collecting well on Friday.  For a film like DDSM, which opened to barely a crore on Friday, it needs to be better than that or at least be on par with that on Monday.  Bankrolled by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Do Deewane Seher Mein majorly received a positive word-of-mouth, still the movie isn’t showing the kind of growth it needs at the box office. Based on the current trends, the movie is looking to wind its opening week around Rs. 6 crore or so.  The movie needs to show strong trends ahead and post a healthy jump on the second weekend, in order to have a chance at the box office. As of now, the movie is heading towards a disappointing theatrical end. The one positive …

Ravi Udaywar on the visual texture of the film The director told IANS, “I think every film has its own canvas. I`m an artist, I paint. I remember so Abhiruchi Chand has written the story and she`s also written the screenplay. We spent a lot of time together. Every film has emotional highs and lows. And so the minute you decide, ‘Okay, these are the characters,’ when you fixate on that, a lot of things fall into place”. Ravi shared that the film talks about the flaws within and how one has to accept them. He said, “The minute you open it, it changes the world. Poor Friday at Hindi Box Office for new releases; Do Deewane Seher Mein leads Assi and Shatak

Poor Friday at Hindi Box Office for new releases; Do Deewane Seher Mein leads Assi and Shatak

There are three new Hindi releases this week: Do Deewane Seher Mein, Assi and one AI-generated film, Shatak: Sangh Ke 100 Varsh. All three films failed to get a start, with combined collections of around Rs. 2.50 crore from three on over 9000 shows. Assi had the widest release of the three, while Do Deewane Seher Mein came up with higher collections. Do Deewane Seher Mein collected Rs. 1.15-1.25 crore nett approx on its first day. This is a low number, but it’s not really a day one film and what matters more is how it does today on Saturday. If it manages to grow well over the weekend and then hold closer to Friday numbers on weekdays, it could have a run of sorts.  Assi collected around Rs. 1 crore nett approx on Friday, substantially lower than the openings of the previous collaboration of Taapsee Pannu and Anubhav Sinha, Thappad, which opened at Rs. 2.75 crore nett in 2020. Those were comparatively better times for the box office, particularly for films in this space. Post-COVID, with the …

Do Deewane Seher Mein movie review: Ever so slightly Basu Chatterjee!

Do Deewane Seher Mein movie review: Ever so slightly Basu Chatterjee!

Director: Ravi UdyawarActors: Siddhant Chaturvedi, Mrunal ThakurRating: 3 stars The ‘seher’ is a deliberate typo in this film’s title, Do Deewane Seher Mein (DDSM). It’s how the lead character would say that word. He’s a Bihari in Mumbai, with his father, a reputed builder, back in Patna. Biharis, as you’d know, share a sa-sha issue with pronunciations. This introverted man, with terrible stage-fright, thinks of it as an embarrassing speech-defect, instead. Which, on occasion, threatens to blown up as the whole purpose of this picture. And that seems a stretch, yes. Doesn’t help the guy’s named Shashank Sharma! But then again, this film itself is a soft, simple, sweet romcom, chiefly seeking delight in the mundane. You take it in the mould of, say, a Basu Chatterjee movie from the’70s/’80s, when working couples, à la Amol Palekar, Vidya Sinha, romancing over chicken a’ la pousse at Café Samovar, became a thing of mainstream cool (Chhoti Si Baat, 1976). Bombay song referenced is the monsoon ditty, ‘Rhim jhim gire sawan’, from Basu-da’s Manzil (1979). The young …

Tu Yaa Main fell a bit short of the Rs. 1 crore low-end forecast, but in the same general vicinity.  With no major release scheduled for March 13, there is no fresh entrant to Pinkvilla Predicts this week. The following week will bring two notable titles, Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Toxic (Hindi), into tracking. With that in mind, Toxic is forecasted a week in advance, and Dhurandhar will be updated next week. Toxic (Hindi) (19/03/2026)First Day Box Office Forecast: Rs. 10-15 crore Toxic is the first release of Yash, following the blockbuster success of the K.G.F. franchise, which catapulted him to the national stage. The film retains his established mass-hero persona, with shades of his K.G.F. character Rocky, which is a plus. The two promos released so far offer a cocktail of stylised violence and bold sensual imagery. It’s been a while since a major film did that, but that tends to do well as far as opening is concerned, especially in …

Pinkvilla Predicts: First day box office forecast for The Kerala Story 2 Goes Beyond, trailer update for Assi and Do Deewane Seher Mein

Mardaani 3 opened to Rs. 3.85 crore nett approx on its opening day, which was slightly higher than the forecasted range of Rs. 1.5-3.50 crore, but was still in the general vicinity of it. The opening in the morning was around the Rs. 3 crore level, and it saw improvement over the day. Entering the “Pinkvilla Predicts” tracking this week is The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond. The Kerala Story 2: Goes Beyond (27/02/2026)First Day Box Office Forecast: Rs. 1-4 crore This is a tricky title to predict. The original was a blockbuster in 2023, opening to Rs. 6.75 crore and eventually closing at Rs. 221 crore nett. The film was carried by a political ideology, but whether it holds the same traction is uncertain. During the same period, The Kashmir Files was a hit at an even higher level, but the sequel to that, The Bengal Files, had a pretty dismal turnout last year, opening to just Rs. 1.35 crore and closing around Rs. 15 crore nett. A similar fate could be possible for …
