Union health minister JP Nadda on Monday launched several digital health initiatives, including a revamped Aarogya Setu app, originally built to track Covid-19, which will now function as a personal health record of Indians. Aarogya Setu 2.0 launched as personal health record app “In line with the vision of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), Aarogya Setu has now been comprehensively revamped to function as a Personal Health Record (PHR) and citizen-facing digital health application. With a captive user base of nearly 20 crore downloads, along with a steady inflow of new users, the application offers a unique opportunity to accelerate citizen adoption, mainstream digital health usage across geographies and position ABDM as a part of everyday healthcare interactions,” said health ministry in a statement. Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu. The bridge inaugurated by PM Modi spans over the Brahmaputra River that connects Guwahati and North Guwahati.  As reported by news agency IANS, the 2.86-kilometre-long bridge was built at a cost of around Rs 3,030 crore. The 6-lane extradosed prestressed concrete (PSC) bridge connects Guwahati with North Guwahati and is the first extradosed bridge in Northeast India. The Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu Bridge cuts down travel time to 7 minutes It will cut travel time between Guwahati and North Guwahati to 7 minutes. Considering the high seismicity of the region, the bridge incorporates base isolation technology using friction pendulum bearings. During his day-long visit to Assam, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu across the River Brahmaputra connecting between Guwahati and North Guwahati on Saturday. The 6-lane extradosed Prestressed Concrete (PSC) bridge, built at a cost of around Rs 3,030 crore, connects Guwahati with North Guwahati and is the first extradosed bridge in Northeast India. Hundreds of residents from the Nigdi Pradhikaran area under the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) in Pune staged a protest on Wednesday against the ongoing work of the Harit Setu (Green Bridge) project. Carrying black flags, angry locals blocked Hutatma Chowk and warned that they would intensify their agitation if the civic administration did not take immediate corrective action. Leaders from various political parties, citizen groups, and local associations joined the protest, alleging that the project has created severe traffic congestion, environmental damage and safety hazards, and has been imposed without public consent. The protest, organised by the Nigdi Pradhikaran Resident Foundation (NPRF), began at 5 pm near Anand Hospital in Sector 26–27. “We are demanding the cancellation of the Harit Setu project. A 28-year-old man from Chembur died after a BMW car he had been driving rammed into a dumper on Atal Setu sea-bridge in the early hours of Friday. The police said the deceased, identified as Punit Singh Majra, had been returning from a party when the incident took place. The police have taken blood samples of the deceased to confirm if he was under the influence of alcohol. An officer from Sewri police station said that the incident took place at 2:30am some eight kilometres from the start of the bridge. The official said that the speeding BMW car going towards Panvel from Mumbai rammed into a dumper from the rear. Majra, who was driving the car, died on the spot, an officer said.
