ASTRO’s Cha Eun Woo declares first-ever legal war on haters, agency breaks silence on claims of using late Moonbin’s name for gain | Music News

ASTRO member Cha Eun Woo has been the subject of malicious comments and hate messages online, with some anti-fans even sending funeral wreaths and protest trucks to condemn the recent tribute song released in memory of Moonbin, the late member of the boy band who passed away on April 19, 2023. All the members, especially Eun Woo, have been accused of using Moonbin’s name to make a profit or revive their singing careers, which have largely been on pause. Now, on April 25, after days of silence and growing public pressure, ASTRO’s agency, Fantagio, has finally released an official statement citing legal action. This marks the first time the company has made such a move specifically for Eun Woo in his decade-long career in the industry. Mingyu was shooting for a brand commercial when the pictures were clicked. (Photo Credits: Instagram) In September last year, the French luxury brand, L’Occitane, came under fire after one of its employees happened to leak some inappropriate and private pictures of K-pop star Mingyu from SEVENTEEN, stirring legal trouble. While fans at large came out in support of Mingyu, demanding action against the employee in question, the brand ended up issuing an official apology statement at the time. As per reports, the L’Occitane employee secretly took pictures of the SEVENTEEN artist during the brand’s commercial shoot, wherein he was in a shirtless state. Despite an apology from the brand, the employee was suspended from work and even reported to the police over suspicions of secretly filming the artist without consent. K-pop boy band SEVENTEEN dropped their 12th mini album Spill the Feels today, opening doors to a wider audience with deepened honesty and authenticity instilled in every track. Spill the Feels is an anagram of ‘I Felt Helpless’ which is reflective of the 13-member band’s transformative journey. A major accident was averted during the opening day performance of K-pop group SEVENTEEN at a South Korean venue. Just moments before the members were set to take the stage, a staff member spotted a fire igniting among the multiple light fixtures above the stage. Fortunately, no injuries were reported, although the incident caused a delay in the performance and filled the venue with smoke as staff worked actively to ensure everyone’s safety.
