Resident doctors’ strike to hit routine & elective surgeries at Pune’s Sassoon Hospital

Routine surgeries and procedures are bound to suffer at Sassoon General Hospital (SGH) as resident doctors of BJ Medical College will join the statewide indefinite strike beginning Thursday, 5 pm, announced by the Maharashtra Association of Resident Doctors (MARD). However, emergency services will continue to be provided to ensure essential medical care during the strike, said the doctors.
