India’s Harjinder Kaur delivered one of the finest performances of her career to clinch the silver medal in the women’s 69kg weightlifting event at the Commonwealth Games 2026 in Glasgow on Tuesday. Justice G Satapathy observed that it was indisputable that the cancellation of the examination had caused hardship to thousands of candidates. The bench added that it cannot be forgotten that competitive and public recruitment exams demand the highest standards of integrity and transparency. “Sabotaging the exam in this way by leaking the question papers and supplying the model answer sheets to the aspiring candidates definitely corrodes the morale of meritorious candidates and the allegation against the petitioner definitely reveals a crime against society,” the July 17 order said. The 6.29 acre plot of land in Raidurg in western part of Hyderabad. A 6.29-acre land parcel bound on two sides by a road in the western part of the city was auctioned for ₹237 crore per acre on Thursday, creating a new benchmark. The final bid price of ₹237 crore was 70.5% higher than the reserve price of ₹139 crore per acre. The identity of the successful bidder is not yet known. The e-auction saw intense bidding from national realty players as the plot has 45-metre wide road on either side with T-Hub and My Home Bhooja in the vicinity. The plot of land has been developed by the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Limited (TGIIC). The overall transaction value of the deal is about ₹1,490.73 crore with the bidder. The e-auction was conducted through the MSTC platform, ensuring a transparent and competitive digital bidding process, while realty major JLL functioned as the transaction advisor.
