Pluto Movie Review & Rating: What if sci-fi movies and literature have been lying to us all along? What if extraterrestrial beings (aliens) don’t have any superpowers and may well be, in essence, our mirror images, with the only difference being that technology in their world is so advanced that interstellar travel is possible for them? Since the concept of extraterrestrial itself is hypothetical, this could also be possible, right? Director Adithyan Chandrashekar’s Pluto revolves around Vignesh alias Vicky (Neeraj Madhav). He and his close friend Jose (Subin Tarzan) are on a relentless mission to earn money quickly, believing it will finally earn them respect. However, their business plans always bomb big time. Although Vicky’s girlfriend Meera (Aarsha Chandini Baiju) and his parents have been tirelessly trying to pump some sense into his head, it’s in vain. Veteran actor Paresh Rawal’s recent claim that OMG 2 was his idea and that he was never credited for it has left social media buzzing. While the film’s lead actor Akshay Kumar has not responded to the remarks, producer Ashwin Varde has weighed in on the controversy, alleging that Paresh was “trying to make a version of OMG under a different name, which is unethical and unprofessional.” During a chat with Pinkvilla, Varde shared, “The accusations made by Paresh Rawal in a recent podcast pertaining to OMG 2 are shocking, untrue and unsubstantiated. These allegations leave me with no option but to publicly set the record straight. I would like to share my version of the journey of OMG 2, as it really happened.” The producer further added, “It was senior actor Pavan Malhotra who first recommended writer-director Amit Rai’s name to me. I had worked with Malhotra in Mubarakan, a film that I produced. I met Amit for a completely different film. Post that, Amit and I became friends and we’d often meet at …

Director Ravi Muppa reveals the real-life inspiration behind short film

When debutant filmmaker Ravi Muppa read about a girl rescued from human traffickers because a flight attendant noticed signs that something wasn’t right, he immediately knew he wanted to explore it on the screen. As he began developing the story, he found himself thinking about the discovery of hidden cameras in hotel rooms and other supposedly private spaces. From there, was born Incognito, Muppa’s short film that premièred on YouTube on July 15. “The film isn’t about human trafficking or voyeurism. It’s about complicity — about what happens when an ordinary person is confronted with an impossible moral choice,” said the director. The short follows a motel receptionist who profits off hidden-cam videos, until he records a girl in danger of being trafficked and must decide whether to save her or protect himself. 5 min readJul 15, 2026 08:07 PM IST One of the lasting images of World Cup knockout games are those final lingering shots, the camera trailing the faces of some of the best to be a part of the sport, in their most disappointing moments. Didier Deschamps’ final moments as coach for France are yet to come, with a third-place playoff, which hardly any team looks forward to, still to be negotiated. But the steady flow of red that kept rushing to his face until the final whistle in the semifinal against Spain was in effect his goodbye to managing France. The abject French surrender was a crushing end to the reign of a man used to collecting records as player and manager. AS IT HAPPENED | France vs Spain, FIFA World Cup semifinal Deschamps may leave with a feeling of ‘what could have been’. Fourteen years of handling probably the most talented group of footballers in international football, arriving pristine out of the Clairefontaine conveyor belt, should have resulted in a stacked trophy cabinet. …
