Soorma wins Bengal Tigers in shootout, advances to the semifinals

Soorma Hockey Club secured a shootout win against the Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers in the penultimate league match of the HIL, at the Birsa Munda Hockey Stadium in Rourkela on Wednesday. After a 1-1 draw, Soorma won the penalty shootout 3-0. It was not all disappointing for the Tigers as they made it to the final four as well, thanks to the point they earned from the 1-1 draw in regulation time. Soorma Hockey Club and Shrachi Rarh Bengal Tigers end up in a nail-biting tie with the former ultimately claiming a 0-3 victory in the penalty shoot out. With this, both teams clear their path to the semi-finals with 19 points each from 10 games!
