A court in Nashik on Saturday deferred the hearing on the bail application of Nida Khan, an accused in the alleged sexual harassment and forced religious conversion case at Tata Consultancy Services` (TCS) Nashik unit, to June 12. Additional Sessions Judge KG Joshi (Nashik Road) adjourned the matter and scheduled the next hearing for June 12. The bail pleas filed by co-accused Danish Sheikh and Tausif Attar will also be heard on the same day, news agency PTI reported. Khan was arrested from Maharashtra’s Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and remanded in judicial custody on May 11. Her custody was later extended, and her bail plea was listed for hearing on Saturday. The cabinet, chaired by chief minister Siddaramaiah, on Thursday announced its decision to form a special investigation team (SIT) to probe allegations of misuse of funds and resources intended for Covid-19 pandemic relief efforts.
