A 16-year-old boy has been detained for allegedly sexually abusing a minor girl in Beed, a city in central Maharashtra, police said on Wednesday. As per the police officials, “The six-year-old girl was passing in front of the house of the accused when he lured her by offering fruit. The boy then took the girl on the first floor of his house and sexually abused her on Monday evening,” reported PTI.  After reaching home, the victim narrated the incident to her mother, who lodged a complaint with the Pethbeed police station on Tuesday. Delhi: Six-year-old girl dies after e-rickshaw collides with car in Janakpuri

A six-year-old girl died after a collision between an e-rickshaw and a car in Janakpuri on Tuesday. According to Delhi Police, a PCR call regarding the incident was received from Mata Chanan Devi Hospital on the morning of February 17. During treatment, the child was declared dead at Max Hospital, Dwarka. Her postmortem was later conducted at DDU Hospital. Police said the victim`s grandmother, namely Mercy Xavier, who was also injured in the accident, stated that they were travelling in an e-rickshaw when it collided with a car near Fire Station, Janakpuri, and overturned. Following the incident, the police registered an FIR. The car has been seized, and the accused, identified as Sanjeev, was apprehended and bound over on Wednesday. Further investigation is underway. A six-year-old boy lost his vision due to an injury sustained in his right eye a year after his teacher allegedly lobbed a stick at the students in a classroom, which accidentally hit him. The teacher and five others have been booked in connection with the incident, police stated on Tuesday. The incident occurred at a government school in Chintamani Taluk of Chikkaballapur District on March 6, 2024, when Yeshwant was in class 1, police said. A local court on Tuesday sentenced a man to life in prison for sexually assaulting a six-year-old boy here, a lawyer said. The court of Special POCSO and Additional District Judge Deepak Yadav also imposed a fine of Rs 61,000, half of which is to be given to the boy, he said. Special Public Prosecutors Virendra Kumar said that the incident took place around a year ago when the boy`s father, from Kotwali Sadar area filed a complaint saying that his six-year-old son was playing in front of the house, when the accused, a local, kidnapped him. Locals from the area launched a search and found that the accused had half tied the boy`s hands with a muffler and was trying to rape him, Kumar said. They saved the boy, following which a case was registered based on the complaint lodged by the boy`s father, he said.
