All 31,450 seats for the Kedarnath helicopter shuttle service, scheduled between April 22 and June 15, were sold out within 90 minutes of the booking portal opening, officials said on Saturday, reported PTI.  According to officials, the booking process commenced at 6 pm on April 15, with the final ticket issued by 7:28 pm. The start to the senior boxing nationals was delayed by a few hours on Sunday in Greater Noida after three boxing rings and lighting equipment could not be brought into the venue last night. Then, upon setting up the rings in the afternoon, a steel wire snapped, further pushing back the start of the domestic tournament. The bouts, which were supposed to begin at 2pm on Sunday, eventually started at 6:30pm. The Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) has informed that heavy rain and winds have caused extensive damage to power supply lines and transformers in the district. They are being repaired, and connections are being restored on a war footing, said the KSEB deputy chief engineer. Forty-four sections under the Perumbavoor electrical circle have reported widespread damage. A quick response team has been formed to attend to complaints. Karukutty, Mookkannur, and Parakkadavu sections have seen damage to the power supply system. The 11-kv feeder has sustained damage. Kunnukara, Chengamangalam, Kalamassery, and Athani under the Aluva division have reported extensive complaints. Five high-tension posts and 67 low-tension posts were affected.
