Exclusive: Sooraj Barjatya on Collaborating With Salman Khan Again: “We Have to Wait…”
The collaborations between Sooraj Barjatya and Salman Khan have shaped some of Hindi cinema’s most beloved family entertainers. Their partnership began with Maine Pyar Kiya (1989), which established Salman as a romantic hero and revived the musical love story format. They reunited for Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! (1994). It was a cultural phenomenon that redefined the Bollywood wedding film, followed by Hum Saath‑Saath Hain (1999) and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (2015).
