The recently released song Akhiyaan De Kol from Kriti Sanon‘s upcoming Netflix film Do Patti has sparked controversy. The track is a rehashed version of the folk classic originally sung by the late Pakistani legend Reshma. Pakistani actor Adnan Siddiqui lambasted the makers for remaking the song, calling it a “sordid ripoff”.
