‘Will back delimitation bill if all states get 50% seat increase each’: Supriya Sule’s remarks spark buzz
A renewed bid by the Union government to pass a constitution amendment bill on women’s reservation and delimitation gathered momentum on Wednesday after Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) leader Supriya Sule said her party would consider supporting the proposed legislation if it spelt out a uniform 50% increase in Lok Sabha seats across all states. NCP (SP) MP Supriya Sule also said the bill must clearly define the proposed formula for delimitation in every constituency.
