Malayalam film Patriot couldn’t show any sort of growth at the box office. The movie added another Rs. 2.20 crore to the tally on its Day 6, bringing the 6-day cume to Rs. 25.75 crore gross at the Kerala box office.  Starring Mammootty and Mohanlal in the lead roles, along with Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban, Nayanthara, Revathy, Darshana, and others, the movie is looking to close its first week at Rs. 27 crore. Malayalam film Patriot, starring Mammootty and Mohanlal in the lead roles, is maintaining a good hold at the box office. After opening with Rs. 8.50 crore, the spy thriller witnessed a 38 per cent drop on its second day. It added Rs. 5.25 crore to the tally on its Day 2, bringing the total cume to Rs. 13.75 crore gross at the Kerala box office.  The movie is heading to close its opening weekend around Rs. 18 crore or so in Kerala, which will be a banger weekend debut. The movie met with majorly positive to mixed word-of-mouth among the audience, which is driving its business apart from the mega-ensemble cast. Malayalam cinema’s one of the most exciting releases, Patriot, hit the cinemas this weekend. Marking the return of Mammootty and Mohanlal together after 18 years, the spy thriller opened with Rs. 11.35 crore gross at the Indian box office, as per early estimates. Of this, around Rs. 8.25 crore came from Kerala alone. That’s around 70 per cent of its total domestic collection. The movie fetched around Rs. 1.60 crore from Karnataka and Rs. 75 lakh from Tamil Nadu. The rest of the Indian markets contributed around Rs. 75 lakh to the tally.  Directed by Mahesh Narayanan, the spy thriller recorded the second biggest opening for a Malayalam film at the Indian box office.
