Boney Kapoor, alongside daughters Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor receive major relief at Madras High Court. The court has ruled against a civil suit filed over late actress Sridevi’s Chennai property, bought in 1988. Bar and Bench has noted that the High Court has closed the suit filed by MC Sivakami, MC Natarajan and Chandrabhanu. The civil revision petition was allowed by Justice T V Thamilselvi. The case was titled Boney Kapoor Vs C Sivakami. The case centered on a 2.70 acres land parcel in Sholinganallur, Chennai. The plaintiffs claimed to be the legal heirs of late MC Chandrasekaran and sought partition rights over the property. They also contested the sale deeds executed in favour of Sridevi, her mother and sister in 1988, alleging that the sellers did not possess a valid title to the land. The plaintiffs claimed that the land originally belonged to MC Sambanda Mudaliar. He purchased larger areas of the land in 1943.
