Tamil Nadu Leader of Opposition Udhayanidhi Stalin was released on station bail on Tuesday after being questioned by the police in connection with a case registered against him, following a direction from the Madras High Court. The court had ordered the police to release Udhayanidhi after completing the inquiry on Tuesday itself. Acting on the direction, police questioned him for around one-and-a-half hours at the Sengipatti Police Station in Thanjavur district in the presence of Superintendent of Police Sundaravathanam before releasing him on station bail, news agency IANS reported.
