‘We’ll stitch it later’: WATCH Australia all-rounder Grace Harris splits webbing in WBBL match, continues playing with taped hand | Cricket News

Australia all-rounder Grace Harris’s “tough as nails” moment from the WBBL 2025 match on Sunday grabbed social media attention after the all-rounder continued to play on with a split webbing. Bowling while defending a 150-run target against the Adelaide Strikers on Sunday in North Sydney, the Aussie all-rounder injured her non-bowling hand while attempting to stop a shot from England batter Tammy Beaumont in the 10th over; the seam of the bowling ball did the damage. Almost nonchalantly, Harris informed the umpire that, “It’s my non-bowling hand. So I can tape it up,” signalling out to the dugout for the physio for a quick fix. “I just need to tape it up and I can keep bowling. It’s no big deal. We’ll just get blood on the ball. We can stitch it up later,” she said, leaving commentators tickled. Three stitches later Harris would emerge as the pick of the Heat bowlers, snapping up two wickets in four overs for 28 runs. The senior Australia all-rounder, however, could not prevent her side’s six-wicket defeat. Harris’ …

Box Office: Lilo and Stitch outshines Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning in UK and Ireland

Box Office: Lilo and Stitch outshines Mission Impossible The Final Reckoning in UK and Ireland

Disney’s Lilo & Stitch has emerged as the frontrunner at the UK and Ireland box office over the weekend, opening with a robust USD 12.9 million. The live-action remake of the beloved 2002 animated film rode the wave of the three-day weekend and the start of the May half-term school holiday, drawing strong family crowds. Paramount’s Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning debuted just behind in second place, earning a solid USD 11.5 million. Despite the star power of Tom Cruise and the franchise’s legacy, the latest installment couldn’t outpace Disney’s nostalgic entry, which captured a broader family demographic. In third, Warner Bros.’ Final Destination: Bloodlines held up well in its second frame with USD 2.2 million, taking its UK and Ireland total to USD 9.3 million. The horror reboot has shown surprising resilience in a competitive market. Universal’s The Phoenician Scheme landed in fourth place with a modest USD 1 million start. Disney’s Thunderbolts came in fifth with USD 781,138 over the weekend, pushing its cumulative haul to USD 20.1 million. Warner Bros.’ Sinners …

Memorial Day Weekend Box Office: From Lilo & Stitch To Pirates Of The Caribbean

Memorial Day Weekend Box Office: From Lilo & Stitch To Pirates Of The Caribbean

Memorial Day Weekend Box Office ( Photo Credit – Facebook ) The Memorial Day weekend of 2025 witnessed an extraordinary convergence of cinematic titans at the box office as Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning — making a triumphant return to its franchise’s roots — shared the release day with Lilo & Stitch from Disney — once again capitalizing on its same old properties through the concept of live-action remakes. The two movies soared to unprecedented heights, eventuating a juxtaposition that rendered the special day the most lucrative of its kind in cinema history. This brings an opportunity to rewind through the cinematic giants that turned this long weekend into a revenue-rich tradition. After all, Cruise’s very first Mission: Impossible and its hyperkinetic sequel were both Memorial Day releases, and as was Top Gun: Maverick. The latter even took the highest Memorial Day weekend box office record from one of Disney’s own properties — Pirates of the Caribbean, before passing it onto Lilo & Stitch. 1. Lilo & Stitch (2025) — $183 Million …

Lilo & Stitch Worldwide Box Office: Disney’s live-actioner aims to put phenomenal USD 341 million over Memorial Day Weekend

Lilo & Stitch Worldwide Box Office: Disney’s live-actioner aims to put phenomenal USD 341 million over Memorial Day Weekend

Disney’s latest outing, Lilo & Stitch, is wreaking havoc at the box office. The live action sci-fi comedy drama is based on 2002 released animated movie of the same name. It is projected to storm over USD 341 million at the worldwide box office over the Memorial Day Weekend of 4 days.  Directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, the live action movie has raked over USD 145.50 million in its first three days at the US box office, recording the biggest Memorial Day opener. It broke the first 3 days cume of Top Gun Maverick and Pirates Of The Caribbean At World’s End. The movie is projected to add around USD 38 million on its first Monday, wrapping the holiday weekend at a record figure of USD 183.50 million in the domestic markets.  The movie recorded the second biggest opener of 2025, remaining only behind A Minecraft Movie which had scored around USD 162.8 million in the US. Among all the Disney PG film post-covid, Lilo & Stitch has beaten the 3-day earnings of Moana 2 …

Impossible – The Final Reckoning Star Also Appears In Lilo & Stitch, While Honoring A Family Legacy Of Naval Combat — Guess Who?

This Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning Star Also Appears In Lilo & Stitch ( Photo Credit – Instagram ) Tom Cruise and Disney finally arrived at the box office with their tentpoles, Mission: Impossible—The Final Reckoning and Lilo & Stitch. Two of the most celestial Hollywood movies of 2025 are also imperative, as the spy saga is supposedly the swan song of Cruise’s Ethan Hunt and cost nearly $400 million in production (via The Numbers). Meanwhile, the live-action remake once again pits Disney against a world in which critics, casual moviegoers, and people on either side of the political aisle are all left unsatisfied, and it’s merely the summer vacation and families with kids they’re counting on to turn up. Interestingly, while the movies do not share anything besides their Memorial Day release date, there’s one more commonality: a fan-favorite star appears in both in supporting roles. And it’s Ted Lasso and Game of Thrones fame actress Hannah Waddingham. Hannah Waddingham Plays Strong Leaders In Both Mission: Impossible 8 & Disney’s Lilo & Stitch …

Lilo And Stitch India Box Office Day 2: Disney’s latest live-action collects Rs 1 crore, to outperform Hindi releases

Lilo And Stitch India Box Office Day 2: Disney’s latest live-action collects Rs 1 crore, to outperform Hindi releases

Disney’s live-action remake of Lilo & Stitch witnessed a modest bump in collections on day 2 at the Indian box office. After opening to Rs 50 lakh on Friday, the family sci-fi comedy collected Rs 1 crore on Saturday, taking its two-day haul to Rs 1.50 crore in the market. Here’s a breakdown of its India box office earnings so far: Day Collection (Rs net) Day 1 Rs 50 lakh Day 2 Rs 1.00 crore Total Rs 1.50 crore While the numbers remain modest compared to Hollywood properties like Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning and Final Destination: Bloodlines, the good news is that Lilo & Stitch has fared better than this week’s new Hindi releases, Kesari Veer and Kapkappi. Both Indian titles struggled to bring audiences to theaters, giving the Disney venture a slight edge in the family entertainment space. The traction is limited, though, as the appeal of Lilo & Stitch in India is mostly restricted to urban multiplexes and niche Disney fans. Unlike in North America, where the film is expected to pose …

Lilo & Stitch India Box Office Day 1: American live-action movie takes slow start, nets Rs 35 lakh

Lilo & Stitch India Box Office Day 1: American live-action movie takes slow start, nets Rs 35 lakh

The American live-action movie Lilo & Stitch is finally in theaters. The movie is storming the box office in its domestic markets, but took a slow start in India. Here’s taking a look at the opening day box office collection of Lilo & Stitch.  Lilo & Stitch clocks Rs 35 lakh on its opening day in India  Helmed by Dean Fleischer Camp, the sci-fi comedy drama kicked off on a reasonable note in India. The movie registered an average occupancy throughout the day and collected Rs 35 lakh on its opening day at the Indian box office. Though it is not a good start for a Hollywood movie, it is a reasonable start for a live-action film, as this genre isn’t very profitable in India.  The good part is that Lilo & Stitch recorded better traction than the new Hindi releases- Kesari Veer and Kapkapiii on its opening day. While the movie is expected to give tough competition to Mission Impossible 8 and Final Destination: Bloodlines in North America, it will remain far behind in India. The movie stars Maia Kealoha …

Lilo & Stitch Flops On Rotten Tomatoes—Is It Time For Disney To Stop Live-Action Remakes?

Lilo & Stitch Flops On Rotten Tomatoes—Is It Time For Disney To Stop Live-Action Remakes?

Disney’s Lilo & Stitch Live-Action Bombs With Critics (Photo Credit – Instagram) Lilo & Stitch live-action remake is here to make Disney more money in its opening weekend than the original 2002 animated classic did in its entire lifetime. But does that mean the movie is good or an excuse for the House of the Mouse to capitalize on the nostalgic sentiments exuded by a somewhat gullible audience, mainland millennials who turned to the studio during its renaissance era in the ‘90s? Many have compared Disney’s half-hearted attempts to those of a babysitter rather than an animation studio. Critics formed a consensus that, despite the social media hype and social media reactions unveiled by influencers, Lilo & Stitch is another bland attempt in a long line of failed Disney remakes. The movie has accumulated mixed reviews, which, though not horrible, and its Rotten Tomatoes score illustrates it. Critics Say Lilo & Stitch Carries All the Horrors of A Bad Disney Remake Lilo & Stitch’s Rotten Tomatoes score of a mere 72%, well short of the …
