Dharmendra and his popularity are no secret to the world, but the veteran actor often spoke about how he was never given the ‘Best Actor’ award, despite his constant hard work. Navy Inducts Traditionally Built Stitched Ship INSV Kaundinya, A Recreation Of 5th Century Vessel

Karwar: The Indian Navy on Wednesday inducted a traditionally built stitched ship as INSV Kaundinya, at a ceremony held at the strategically located Karwar naval base in Karnataka. It is a recreation of a fifth-century vessel and is named after Kaundinya, a legendary Indian mariner who sailed across the Indian Ocean to Southeast Asia, officials said. The ship serves as a tangible symbol of India’s long-standing traditions of maritime exploration, trade, and cultural exchange, and its induction and naming marks a culmination of an “extraordinary project” that celebrates India’s rich shipbuilding heritage, they said. #IndianNavy inducted the stitched sail vessel INSV Kaundinya at Karwar. The vessel is a recreation of a 5th century CE Ajanta painting using traditional methods.Hon’ble Minister of Culture Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat presided over the ceremony.@MinOfCultureGoI @gssjodhpur… pic.twitter.com/6sVRpesUzO — SpokespersonNavy (@indiannavy) May 21, 2025 “The Indian Navy formally inducted and named the stitched ship as Indian Naval Sailing Vessel (INSV) Kaundinya today at a ceremonial event held at the Karwar naval base. (PTI) One week after the devastating terror attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam, popularly known as ‘Mini Switzerland’, the nation continues to grapple with the aftermath and the profound loss, while clamour over ‘action’ against Pakistan grows. The anger is so deep that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), seen as the key ideological pillar of India’s ruling political establishment, is now facing a significant internal conflict vis-à-vis its reaction to the tragedy. This event has now stitched that deep wound which we got in our heart during Babur’s era,” said Mr Shah in his speech. Previous governments prior to 2014 were afraid of respecting the country’s culture, religion and languages, he claimed. “Aurangzeb destroyed the Kashi Vishwanath temple.
