BMC announces water cut in eastern suburbs on May 5 and 6; Chembur, Tilak Nagar and other key areas to be affected

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Thursday, April 30, announced a scheduled water cut across several areas in the eastern suburbs, including Chembur and Ghatkopar, on May 5 and 6, 2026, due to essential maintenance work. According to the official statement issued by the BMC, large parts of M-West Ward covering Maitri Park, Chembur Gaothan, Diamond Garden, Postal Colony, Swastik Park, and Ghatla will face a complete water suspension on Tuesday, May 5. The officials further added that the water supply in these localities will resume on Wednesday, May 6, but at reduced pressure.
