Four government officers, 14 stamp vendors, and 20 petition writers of the ration card department in Panchmahal district were handed show-cause notices on Friday, a day after District Supply Officer (DSO) HT Makwana, disguised as a villager, allegedly discovered irregularities by four officials and “a violation of government resolutions” in the department. “We have given them seven days to respond.
