Every generation confronts its own challenges and must find answers suited to its time. When India gained Independence in 1947, its leadership needed to establish democratic institutions, integrate a vast and diverse population, build an administrative framework, develop scientific capabilities, and chart a path toward economic growth despite severe resource constraints. By 2014, however, the challenge was making existing institutions more responsive, efficient, and capable of delivering meaningful outcomes to a population of 1.4 billion in an interconnected world. In many respects, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s contribution has been to align governance with the aspirations of a rapidly changing India. BrahMos not just a weapon but a message in itself, says Rajnath Singh | India News

A day after it was learnt that India had used its BrahMos supersonic cruise missiles to target Pakistani air bases before the ceasefire came into effect, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh Sunday inaugurated the BrahMos Integration and Testing Centre in Lucknow — and said these missiles are not just a weapon but a message of strength of the armed forces. “As far as BrahMos is concerned, all of you know that BrahMos is one of the world’s fastest supersonic missiles. Operation Sindoor: China calls India’s military action ‘regrettable’ | Latest News India

China on Wednesday termed as “regrettable” India’s strikes on terror hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and urged both New Delhi and Islamabad to exercise restraint. The statement was issued by the Chinese foreign ministry as a response to an anonymous question. (PTI photo) Beijing’s reaction came hours after India’s defence ministry announced that Indian armed forces had targeted nine sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) from where terrorist strikes were planned and directed in retaliation for the Pahalgam terror attack of April 22 “China finds India’s military operation early this morning regrettable. We are concerned about the ongoing situation. India and Pakistan are and will always be each other’s neighbors,” the Chinese foreign ministry said in a short statement. “They’re both China’s neighbours as well. China opposes all forms of terrorism. We urge both sides to act in the larger interest of peace and stability, remain calm, exercise restraint and refrain from taking actions that may further complicate the situation,” the statement said.
