VCK turns its focus to Tamil nationalism post-election

MOORTHY After accurately predicting “significant changes in politics” in Tamil Nadu after the 2026 assembly elections, Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi (VCK) founder and Chidambaram MP Thol. Thirumavalavan has urged the party to gear up for a ‘Tamil nationalist’ public rally on August 17 (his birthday) in Ulundurpet near Villupuram. Contrary to popular opinion that the VCK-support base have moved to Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) in huge numbers, many in the party said it would use the opportunity to show that it continued to enlist the support of Scheduled Caste (SC) youngsters in huge numbers.
