As per the reports of Local18, The Balli Shop at the Ratha street in Mangaluru is deemed a paradise of golibaje, also called Mangalore bajji. In a day, they reportedly end up selling over 5000 of the fried snacks. The shop was opened in 1993 at Ratha street, by Rajesh Baliga. It opens at 11 am every day, while the people queue up for hours to get their hands on the snacks. They also sell seasonal dishes like podi, pakoda, biscuit roti, cabbage podi, sanjeera, buns, golibaje, chattambade, vegetable bonda and more.
