In this edition of SCREEN Spotlight, Vishal recalls Rani’s husband and producer Aditya Chopra’s advice to him and the difference in acting approaches of Rani and her cousin Kajol, with whom Vishal starred in Revathy’s Salaam Venky (2020). Since you’ve worked with both, how similar and different are Kajol and Rani Mukerji as actors? The one thing that’s quite common between both Rani ma’am and Kajol ma’am is that they’re both switch on/switch off performers. Which is something I should learn because I take my character home.
