On Batting Order Query, RCB Star’s Cheeky Message: “Would Be Great…”

RCB batter Tim David has expressed his desire to bat higher up the order.© BCCI Days after playing a quickfire half-century against Punjab Kings (PBKS), Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batter Tim David has expressed his desire to bat higher up the order. David’s 25-ball 50 helped RCB post a total of 95 on the board after an embarrassing collapse that saw them lose seven wickets for just 42 runs. Despite RCB eventually losing the match, David’s knock earned him plaudits and also sparked a debate whether he should be allowed to bat higher up the order. Ahead of the second match of their double-header against PBKS on Sunday, David gave a cheeky reply after he was asked about his batting order. “Ideally, walking in at 250/0 in the 15th over would be great,” David joked. “But we got a great batting lineup. I enjoy watching them bat and try and do what I do when I get a chance. When it’s my job to do what I want to do, I just try …

RCB Star Tim David Slams 3 Sixes In A Row Against Punjab Kings, Leaves Everyone Stunned – Watch

Pressure to score quick runs and clever bowling by Punjab Kings restricted Royal Challengers Bengaluru to a disappointing 95 for nine despite Tim David’s rollicking fifty in their IPL match that was pruned to 14 overs per side due to rain on Friday. The match started at 9.45 pm after a steady drizzle refused to fade away for a good part of the evening, and Kings’ skipper Shreyas Iyer did not hesitate to bowl first. The decision proved right as Punjab bowlers plucked three wickets in the power play segment, which was curtailed to four overs because of the delayed start. Phil Salt started the proceedings with a crisp boundary but perished in the first over itself, trying to hammer Arshdeep Singh (2/23) out of the park and stumper Josh Inglis completed a good catch. Virat Kohli did not last long either, as Marco Jansen peddled 20 metres back to pull off a terrific catch off Arshdeep. Pacer Xavier Bartlett joined his teammate with the wicket of Liam Livingstone. KL Rahul’s ‘This Is My Ground’ Celebration Stuns RCB Star, Becomes Topic Of Discussion. Video Viral

KL Rahul helped Delhi Capitals (DC) recover from a wobbly start to register their fourth straight win in this year’s Indian Premier League (IPL). Chasing 164 against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), DC were 4/58 at one stage before Rahul took the matter into his own hands during an unbeaten stand of 111 with Tristan Stubbs. The former RCB man hit six sixes and seven fours in his scintillating 53-ball knock to take DC home with 13 balls to spare. After hitting the winning runs in front in his hometown, Rahul drew a circle on the ground, and stamped the bat in the centre of it, before screaming “this is my ground”. Rahul’s celebration became an instant hit as RCB batter Tim David recreated the same during his viral chat with du Plessis, who seemed to have missed his teammate’s gesture. RCB Stars Phil Salt, Tim David Show Exceptional Teamwork, Take Stunning Game-Changing Catch vs MI

Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) by 12 runs in a nail-biting thriller in IPL 2025, and a key role in that victory was played by a stunning catch taken in the final over of MI’s run chase. With MI needing 19 runs off five deliveries, it seemed for a moment that tail-ender Deepak Chahar had smashed a six. However, RCB were able to convert it into a wicket, as Phil Salt and Tim David showcased exceptional teamwork at long-on to complete a terrific catch. With bowler Krunal Pandya having removed MI batter Mitchell Santner in the first ball of the over, the pressure was on Chahar to hit big. And so he did, and quite well it seemed. However, Englishman Phil Salt – normally a wicket-keeper – came running in from deep mid-wicket to try and catch it. However, just as he grabbed the ball, Salt lost balance. However, Salt showed excellent presence of mind to throw the ball back to Tim David, who had rushed onto the scene and …

Faf Du Plessis Survives Big Injury Scare After Ball Boy Pulls Off ‘WWE Move’ On Him. Watch

Former South Africa captain Faf du Plessis escaped a nasty injury after almost colliding with a ball boy during an Abu Dhabi T10 league match at the Sheikh Zayed Cricket Stadium. Du Plessis was tossed over the advertising hoardings, leading to an awkward landing. The incident happened during the match between the Morrisville Samp Army and Delhi Bulls on Wednesday. With the Bulls chasing 113 to win, Tim David hit Isuru Udana for a boundary towards the extra cover region.  Du Plessis made a long chase to stop the ball but failed to do so. However, du Plessis couldn’t apply the brakes in time as the follow through took him beyond the ropes. While the two were about to collide, the ball boy, who had crouched to collect the ball, unintentionally tossed du Plessis over the hoardings. The former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) captain landed awkwardly on the other side. Luckily for him, du Plessis came out of the situation unharmed. A video of the same incident has gone viral on social media. …

National Cricket League: Los Angeles Waves Seal Top Two Spot, Mumbai Indians Star Tim David Shines

Los Angeles Waves CC© NCL Los Angeles Waves CC secured a top-two finish in the Sixty Strikes tournament by the National Cricket League (NCL) USA, as they chased down a target of 100 in just 8.4 overs against Chicago CC. Walking in at No. 3, Australia batter Tim David smashes 44 off just 23 balls to lead his team over the finish line. Adam Rossington’s 10-ball 20 provided a flying start, while Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan‘s 4-ball 14 cameo provided a great finish to Los Angeles. Winning the toss, Los Angeles captain Tymal Mills put Chicago to bat. Despite significant contributions across the order, a total of 99 was managed in 10 overs. Star batters Chris Lynn and Robin Uthappa came to bat at unusually low positions of No. 6 and No. 7, and both failed to get going. Former New Zealand spinner Todd Astle was the chief wicket-taker for Los Angeles, picking up three. In the run chase, it was Rossington and David’s 63-run partnership that nearly took Los Angeles home. …

National Cricket League: Suresh Raina Rolls Back The Years, Slams Stunning Fifty In 10-Over Tie

Suresh Raina in action at Sixty Strikes.© NCL 2011 Cricket World Cup-winner Suresh Raina rolled back the years, slamming a brilliant fifty as New York Lions CC beat Los Angeles Waves CC by 19 runs in the second match of the Sixty Strikes tournament, organised by the National Cricket League, USA. In the 10-over game, Raina smashed 53 off just 28 balls to take his team to a whopping total of 126. Despite a valiant effort, the total proved to be too uphill a task for Los Angeles Waves. Put into bat by Los Angeles, New York started off on the back foot as opener Asad Shafiq departed for just 3. However, Raina, along with former Sri Lanka opener Upul Tharanga (40 off 23), stitched a brilliant partnership, guiding New York to a healthy total. They lost just two wickets, posting 126 in 10 overs. In response, Los Angeles lost Stevie Eskinazi for a golden duck off the first ball. However, significant contributions from Adam Rossington (31 off 15), Tim David (19 off …

“Are Hardik Pandya, Tim David That Bad?”: Virender Sehwag Fumes At MI, Demands Serious Actions

Former India batter Virender Sehwag questioned Mumbai Indians (MI)’s tactics during the 24-run defeat to Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their IPL 2024 match on Friday. Chasing a below-par 170, Mumbai lost wickets at regular intervals and were eventually bowled out for 145 off 18.5 overs at the Wankhede Stadium. While analysing the match, Sehwag said he was “baffled” with captain Hardik Pandya and Tim David arriving at No.7 and 8 in the lineup, respectively. Sehwag also posed a similar question for KKR after star all-rounder Andre Russell batted down the order. “KKR saved Andre Russell; he played only two balls. Mumbai Indians saved Hardik Pandya and Tim David. What did you achieve by doing that? There were many deliveries left, and they all got out. You could’ve come earlier, or maybe you could’ve finished the game earlier, too. I don’t know what happens to them when they chase… Hardik Pandya at seven and Tim David at 8. I just don’t understand what they did. Are these players that bad that they will get out …

Mumbai Indians Haven’t Been Effective Enough In Shutting Teams Down When They Get Going: Tim David

Mumbai Indians have struggled to effectively halt opposing teams’ momentum once they start building it, which is something the five-time IPL champions must address going forward, feels batter Tim David. MI find themselves in the eighth spot with only three wins from eight outings. They suffered a nine-wicket loss to table-toppers Rajasthan Royals in their previous outing. Barring Jasprit Bumrah, their bowling has been disappointing. “Someone like Booms (Jasprit Bumrah) has been winning games for us but we haven’t been effective enough in shutting teams down when they get going. “That is a challenge going forward,” David said on the eve of MI’s match against Delhi Capitals here. “It was pretty obvious against RR that wasn’t the standard that we set ourselves to. That is the challenge for the playing group, we set the tone,” the Australian added. Known to be perennial slow starters, MI find themselves in a precarious situation and cannot afford to lose another game if they are serious about making the play-offs. “Obviously we had a slow start to the season, …
