Police have registered a case after a man reported that a woman he met through a dating application stole cash, mobile phones and jewellery from him at a hotel in Zirakpur. According to the complaint, the man came in contact with the woman through Tinder. The complainant reported that an Apple mobile phone, a Samsung Z Fold phone, gold jewellery including a chain, a bracelet and two rings, and ₹45,000 in cash were stolen. As part of the update, users can now find profiles categorised in groups like Serious Dater, Long-Term Partner, Non-monogamy, and Short-Term Fun. In a blog post, the company said that the new categories are designed to help users find profiles that match their dating intentions. For example, the “Serious Dater” category might help you find people who are looking for long-term relationships. However, only users who have a bio, have uploaded at least four photos and have set their relationship goals to any of the long-term options will be eligible.
