Toby Radford Appointed as Afghanistan’s Batting Coach
The 54-year-old Toby Radford has been appointed as Afghanistan’s batting coach, replacing Andrew Puttick and is expected to join the squad ahead of the upcoming three-match T20I series against the West Indies. The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) has also appointed Robert Ahmun as the new strength & conditioning trainer and will be joining the squad ahead of the team’s last T20I series ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Afghanistan are set to play a three-match T20I series against West Indies, with the matches being scheduled to take place in Dubai. Currently working as the head coach of the Dhaka Capitals, Toby Radford served as the batting coach for the Pakistan Cricket Board’s High Performance Centre (2022-24) and had worked as the head of High Performance for the Bangladesh Cricket Board (2020-22). The ECB Level 04 certified coach brings vast international experience to the Afghanistan Cricket team.
