The devastatingly affective tragedy of Main Vaapas Aaunga’s climax | Opinion-entertainment News

In an otherwise uneven retelling of familiar longing in Love Aaj Kal (2020), there is a moment tucked away at the very end, after the story has exhausted itself, even after the credits have rolled, that stays longer than anything that precedes it. Kartik Aaryan stands beneath the balcony of the woman he loves, looking up with the hope that generations of lovers before him have carried. But the balcony offers no answer. No silhouette appears or hand parts the curtains. There is only and only absence. It is here it strikes you that after returning time and again to the tales of Romeo and Juliet, Heer Ranjha and Laila Majnu, stories that, in many ways, are variations of the same wound (much like most Imtiaz Ali’s films), this time, however, Ali finds a new note to play. Romeo is still standing beneath Juliet’s balcony. But this time, Juliet is gone and Romeo is to blame. He only claimed to love but never dared to truly love. It is this thought, this moment, that returns …

Is Episode 5 Story Inspired By A Real-Life Tragedy?

Teach You A Lesson Episode 5 Story(Photo Credit –Instagram) Netflix’s latest Korean hit show, Teach You A Lesson, is earning rave reviews for its terrifyingly realistic portrayal of harassment, corruption, torture, and violence within academic institutions. While the show has built its fanbase on high-octane action sequences and deeply satisfying moments of justice, Episode 5 is a different beast entirely. The storyline at its center is not purely a scriptwriter’s invention — it mirrors one of the most painful and consequential events in South Korea’s recent history. A tragedy that brought an entire nation to a standstill. One that changed the law. Teach You a Lesson Plot Teach You a Lesson follows the Educational Rights Protection Bureau (ERPB) — a fictional government agency granted sweeping legal powers to restore order in problem schools. Alongside investigator Im Han-rim (Jin Ki-joo), he uses physical force, psychological pressure, and strategic …

One of OpenAI’s internal models recently made a breakthrough by tackling the 80-year-old planar unit distance problem, first posed by Hungarian mathematician Paul Erdős in 1946. The mathematician was known for creating such challenges, collectively known as “Erdős problems”. While artificial intelligence (AI) models have been good at solving math problems, this particular result stands out. Experts say had a human carried it out, it would merit publication in a top math journal. “No previous AI-generated proof has come close” to meeting such high standards, wrote Tim Gowers, a mathematician at the University of Cambridge, in a commentary for OpenAI. With that, let’s move on to the top stories from today’s edition: 21 killed in South Delhi fire Shashi Tharoor on CJP Samba Boys’ magic under Azteca sun 🚨 Big Story The fire that broke out at a bed and breakfast (B&B) restaurant in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar early Wednesday, claiming 21 lives, has proven to be a nightmare for many. From corridors of power: Sunil Jakhar’s tragedy, CM Mann’s walk that never was and Rahul Gandhi’s ‘third warning’ | Chandigarh News

4 min readMay 31, 2026 04:35 PM IST If Punjab politics ever institutes a lifetime achievement award for being almost there, Sunil Jakhar would be a unanimous choice. The latest chapter came last week when the BJP replaced him as its Punjab president with Kewal Dhillon. For Jakhar watchers, it was deja vu. In the Congress, he was replaced as Leader of Opposition by Charanjit Singh Channi. Later, when he was heading the Punjab Congress, the party brought in Navjot Singh Sidhu as PPCC chief. Then came the biggest heartbreak of all. When Captain Amarinder Singh was shown the door in September 2021, Jakhar seemed destined for the Chief Minister’s chair. Then came the famous argument that Punjab needed a Sikh Chief Minister, and Channi took oath while Jakhar watched history unfold from the front row. Politics, they say, is about timing. Jakhar’s problem is that every time the music stops, there is always one more chair available, and each time for someone else. The tragedy is not that he never reached the top. It is …

Authorities fear the death toll could rise further as several others remain hospitalised in critical condition. Investigation points to methanol-laced liquor The mystery surrounding a series of sudden and suspicious deaths reported over the last 24 to 48 hours in the Fugewadi area of Pimpri-Chinchwad has now been unravelled. Investigators believe the deaths were not caused by any natural illness but by highly toxic spurious liquor allegedly manufactured illegally in Uruli Kanchan using hazardous methanol-based chemicals. Police officials said the illicit liquor was prepared within the jurisdiction of the Uruli Kanchan Police Station. To increase the potency of the brew, the prime accused, Yogesh Wankhede — a known offender on the records of the State Excise Department — allegedly mixed nearly 215 litres of poisonous methanol into the liquor before distributing it to illegal liquor dens across Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad. According to police, …
