4 min readChandigarhUpdated: Jun 22, 2026 09:07 PM IST In a significant overhaul of the state’s transfer framework, the Haryana Cabinet on Monday approved the Model Online Transfer Policy (MOTP), 2026, and the Teachers Transfer Policy (TTP), 2026, introducing major changes in employee ranking criteria, expanding welfare provisions and strengthening safeguards for government employees and teachers. The Cabinet, which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, approved the revised policies with the stated objective of ensuring optimal utilisation of human resources, promoting employee satisfaction, improving administrative efficiency and strengthening public service delivery. According to officials, the revised policies have been formulated after taking into account observations made by the Punjab and Haryana High Court as well as feedback received from various stakeholders. The High Court had expressed concerns regarding certain aspects of the previous transfer framework, including the weightage assigned to age and the relatively low merit points available under the couple-case category. Under the new framework, employee ranking for transfer purposes will be determined through a revised 120-point composite scoring system. …

Appearing before a Bench headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant, Solicitor General Tishar Mehta said the High Court are returning to work from summer recess in the first week of June. Chief Justice Surya Kant and Justice Joymalya Bagchi further directed the investigating officer to also look into the aspect of the woman being taken to four hospitals before finally being admitted to AIIMS New Delhi. Of the four other hospitals, three of them — GTB Hospital, Kailash Deepak Hospital, and R K Hospital — allegedly refused admission, while the fourth, Jag Pravesh Hospital, only provided her first aid before referring her to another hospital. Maharashtra: Protests erupt against transfer of IAS officer Tukaram Mundhe

A group of persons with disabilities has demanded the cancellation of the transfer of Indian Administrative Service officer Tukaram Mundhe, who served as Secretary in the Divyang Kalyan (Disability Welfare) Department. According to PTI, the group protested outside the Nanded Collector’s office on Wednesday, raising slogans to press for their demand. Mundhe was recently appointed as Secretary, Disaster Management, Rehabilitation, Revenue and Forest Department at Mantralaya, the state secretariat in Mumbai. As per PTI, the protesters said that during his tenure in the disability welfare department, Mundhe, considered an upright civil servant, took several decisions in favour of persons with disabilities, earning their respect and trust. Similar protests opposing Mundhe’s transfer had earlier been held near Mantralaya. The latest transfer is Mundhe’s 24th posting in his 21-year career in the bureaucracy.
