Investigation has found that the land, comprised in Khasra No. 792, Madanpur Khadar, was ultimately acquired by the Tarbia Education Foundation of Jawad Ahmad Siddiqui based on this fraudulent document. Siddiqui, Al-Falah University founder and chancellor, was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). The All India Football Federation has imposed a transfer ban on I-League outfit Sporting Club Bengaluru, The Bridge has learnt. “We wish to inform the parties that a ban on Sporting Club Bengaluru from registering new players has been implemented by the AIFF,” a letter from the national federation to the club, which is in possession of this publication, read. The ban effective from Monday comes after Sporting Club Bengaluru’s failure to provide any reply on the allegations of financial non-compliance in accordance with the decision of the AIFF Player Status Committee. The transfer ban has been imposed according to the Article 31 of AIFF Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, 2025. As per the rule, the ban will remain until the due amounts are paid. “The overall maximum duration of the registration ban, including possible sporting sanctions, shall be of three entire and consecutive registration periods, subject to Article 31.7,” the AIFF Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, 2025 further reads. The world football body, FIFA, announced the introduction of a new football transfer window on Wednesday from 1st June to 10th June for all 32 Club World Cup participating teams. The 2025 summer transfer window will open again on June 16 before closing on the Deadline Day until 1st September. The expanded FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will take place in the United States between June 15 and July 13.  The tournament will bring together 32 elite teams from all six confederations, with the action set to kick off at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium. The Kerala government has sanctioned the transfer of 1,340 acres of land to the Kerala Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (KICDC), the special purpose vehicle created for the development of the Kochi-Bengaluru industrial corridor. The project envisages, among other things, the development of two major nodes- the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster at Palakkad and the Global City at Kochi. The total land requirement for the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster, the first node of the project, is 1,710 acres, spread across three parcels – Pudussery Central, Pudussery West, and Kannambra in Palakkad district. The State government earlier accorded administrative sanction for acquisition of land in Palakkad for the industrial corridor project with the financial aid of Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB). As part of this, the government accorded sanction to transfer 110 acres of land in Pudussery village in Palakkad. The managing director of the Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (KINFRA), the nodal agency for land acquisition, had earlier this year requested the government to transfer the remaining land to the special purpose vehicle (SPV) with absolute ownership, …

Though the AAB in its general body meeting held on April 22 passed a resolution for “abstaining from work”, a good number of advocates were present in all the court halls of the High Court’s principal Bench in Bengaluru on Wednesday morning. However, several office-bearers, including AAB president Vivek Subba Reddy, went to all the court halls and requested the advocates, who were waiting for the court proceedings to commence, to leave the court halls, stating that the AAB had passed a resolution to abstain from the High Court proceedings. While many advocates left the court halls, some resisted and remained in the halls and participated in the proceedings.
