Ira Jadhav smashes triple century in Women’s U-19 One Day Trophy
14-year-old Ira Jadhav created history on Sunday by becoming the first Indian women’s cricketer to score a triple century in a limited-overs match. Playing for Mumbai in the Women’s U-19 One Day Trophy, Ira smashed an unbeaten 346 runs off 157 balls against Meghalaya at Alur Cricket Ground. Her explosive innings included a staggering 42 fours and 16 sixes, as Mumbai posted a massive total of 563/3 in 50 overs. Ira was instrumental in two key partnerships: she added 274 runs for the second wicket with captain Hurley Gala, who scored 116, and then formed a 186-run stand with Diksha Pawar, who contributed 39 runs. Ira’s remarkable achievement also makes her the first Indian (man or woman) to score a triple century in a BCCI-organised limited-overs tournament. 🚨Record !
