A day after post-mortem examinations confirmed the murder of two women and a teenage girl found dead in their Kolkata home, the police said on Friday that they are now focused on identifying the culprits and motive behind the crime. Investigators are also exploring the possible involvement of the two women’s husbands, who are siblings, or outsiders, according to a police officer. The autopsy reports revealed that the women, who had cuts on their wrists and throats, succumbed to these ante-mortem injuries (inflicted before death), while the girl died due to poisoning. The police said two brothers, Pranay and Prasun Dey, resided at 21/C Atal Sur Road, a three-storey house in east Kolkata’s Tangra neighbourhood, along with their wives, Sudeshna, 39, and Romi, 44, respectively, and their children — Pranay’s son and Prasun’s daughter. New Delhi: Twenty-year-old Arjun Tanwar, arrested for killing his parents and sister at their south Delhi residence, had searched online about methods of murder before committing the crime, police sources said on Thursday. Delhi Police has recovered blood-stained clothes and an army knife allegedly used in the crime, and also seized Tanwar’s mobile phones, laptop and other electronic gadgets, they said. The sources said that police are also contemplating to conduct a psycho-analysis test on Tanwar to determine his mental well-being. Ex-armyman Rajesh Kumar (51), his wife Komal (46) and their daughter Kavita (23) were found murdered at their house in Deoli village on Wednesday morning. According to police, Tanwar did not have good relations with his parents and was upset that they liked his sister more than him.
