A case of suicide has been registered by Sharjah Police, the police officials confirmed it to the Gulf News. As per a report of Malayala Manorama, the women operated an online business and her sister’s family lived in a neighboring apartment while his father-in-law and brother in law also resides in UAE. According to eyewitnesses and building staff, the women threw her five-year-old child off the high-rise building in Al Nahda area before jumping herself. The incident occurred at 7: 15 AM on Wednesday as per Gulf News, which visited the scene. Talking to Gulf News, neighbour said that the woman threw her daughter first before leaping off her 15th floor apartment balcony. The victims fell from 22 floors above the ground. Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) refill bookings have declined to about 77 lakh from 88.8 lakh earlier, indicating some easing of panic buying, even as the government said there is no shortage of petrol, diesel or cooking gas, and supplies remain stable despite the West Asia conflict. All domestic “refineries are operating at high capacity and maintaining adequate crude oil inventories,” the update said. “The country remains self-sufficient in the production of petrol and diesel, requiring no imports of the fuels to meet domestic demand.” Oil marketing companies have reported no dry outs at fuel retail outlets or LPG distributorships, and petrol, diesel and LPG supplies are being maintained regularly.
