India ensured uninterrupted fuel supply through diversified imports, says Union Petroleum Minister
India successfully insulated consumers from fuel supply disruptions caused by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz earlier this year by diversifying crude oil imports, expanding refining capacity and boosting domestic production, Union Petroleum and Natural Gas Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said on Friday. Speaking at an industry event organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Puri said India’s energy security strategy has evolved beyond merely securing access to hydrocarbons, reported PTI.
