Additional Superintendent of Police (South) Anshika Verma said a case was registered after the rape of a minor girl by an unknown person at a village under the Visharatganj police station limits on April 24 came to light. Sultanpur: A 40-year-old man fell to his death from the balcony of his house in Kanshiram Colony here, with police detaining his wife for questioning after her in-laws alleged that she pushed him. However, the wife has claimed that Dilshad (40) came home drunk and jumped from the balcony. According to the police, the incident occurred on Saturday night. Bareilly: A man returning home after hearing about his wife’s death lost his life in a road accident in Mirganj area here, police said on Tuesday. The man, identified as Sanjay (28), was on a motorcycle with his younger brother Rinku (22) when an unidentified vehicle hit them on National Highway-24 late Monday night. Sanjay died on the spot, while Rinku sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bareilly, police said. “Sanjay, a resident of Ramuapur Raghuveer village in Bahraich’s Kaiserganj Police Station area, was working as a labourer in Punjab. Bahraich: A man was arrested for allegedly beheading his girlfriend when she asked him to marry her, police said on Sunday. “The case began after police found a headless body of a woman near Jagannathpur village on Friday. She was identified on Saturday as a 26-year-old woman, who was living with her parents after marriage,” Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural) Durga Prasad Tiwari said.
