Odisha FC women’s team began their AFC Women’s Champions League 2024/25 Group Stage campaign with a humbling 0-17 defeat against Urawa Red Diamonds Ladies of Japan at the Thong Nhat Stadium on Sunday. From the outset, the Japanese side demonstrated their superiority which further escalated as Shreya Hooda made several errors in the first few minutes. The Odisha FC was in complete shock against the explosive attacking start and the quick movement off the ball from Urawa Reds, scoring more than 5 goals in just the first 20 minutes.
