Regional tensions overshadow the mourning period The burial of Ali Khamenei in northeast Iran comes after a week of mass funeral processions, mourning and rallies across the country amid renewed hostilities in the West Asia region between the United States and Iran, threatening the ceasefire and Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Trump calls it ‘a very good reason’ to restart war if Iran kills US military personnel | World News

3 min readWashington DcUpdated: Jun 5, 2026 03:47 PM IST US President Donald Trump has declared that if Iran kills American military personnel, it would constitute “a very good reason” to restart full-scale military conflict with the Iranian regime. Speaking to reporters at the White House on Thursday, Trump established what he termed a clear “red line” in the ongoing tensions with Iran. When directly asked whether the killing of American troops would trigger renewed military action, the US President confirmed that such an event would justify resuming the war. Trump’s warning “This would be a very good reason to restart the war,” Trump stated regarding the potential death of US service members at Iranian hands. In the same White House briefing, Trump downplayed Iran’s military capabilities and said, “They have neither a navy nor an air force; we have eliminated their leadership. They had 159 ships, and all of them are lying at the bottom of the sea. We have taken photos of them down there.” Trump further dismissed reports of Iranian strength as …

Trump furious after Iran again rejects total surrender despite ‘dead’ navy and destroyed air force

Published on May 12, 2026 01:56 am IST Donald Trump has sharply attacked Iran’s latest ceasefire proposal, calling it a “piece of garbage” and claiming Tehran’s position is now “on life support.” The furious remarks came after Iran reportedly rejected demands linked to surrender terms and regional military restrictions. Trump’s outburst lands just before his crucial meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, raising questions about Washington’s leverage after weeks of Hormuz tensions and military escalation. Despite major damage to Iran’s air force and naval assets during the conflict, Tehran appears unwilling to back down, deepening fears that diplomacy could collapse again.   Home / Videos / Trump furious after Iran again rejects total surrender despite ‘dead’ navy and destroyed air force Disclaimer: We do not own any of the content, ideas, images, or text presented here. Iran-US Talks Uncertain as Tehran Rejects Negotiations Under Threat

The prospect of a second round of talks between Iran and the United States remained uncertain Tuesday after Iran’s chief negotiator said Tehran would not negotiate under pressure, while US President Donald Trump signalled he was in no rush to end the ongoing conflict. Mohammed Bagher Ghalibaf, Iran’s chief negotiator and parliament speaker, said in a post on X early Tuesday that “We do not accept negotiations under the shadow of threats,” adding that the Islamic Republic was preparing “to reveal new cards on the battlefield.” — محمدباقر قالیباف | MB Ghalibaf (@mb_ghalibaf) April 20, 2026 Ghalibaf’s post comes just barely days after Trump took to Truth Social and wrote, “We’re offering a very fair and reasonable DEAL, and I hope they take it because, if they don’t, …

Iran Warned of ‘Betrayal’ Amid Warming Russia-US Ties Over Ukraine, Air Defences “at High Readiness”

Last Updated:February 20, 2025, 19:38 IST Crux India Conservative Iranian press warned the Pezeshkian regime of Iran’s betrayal by close-ally Russia. Moscow may sacrifice Iranian interests in exchange for concessions from Washington, wrote Jomhouri Eslami, a conservative daily based in Tehran. The newspaper referred to the ongoing US-Russia negotiations over Ukraine that began earlier this week in Riyadh. The Iranian daily speculated that these discussions could lead to a Moscow-Washington agreement. Such a deal, it argued, might see Russia securing territorial gains in Ukraine in return for granting US more leverage to protect its ally Israel. Jomhouri Eslami warned that Moscow could betray Iran again if Washington helps Russia emerge victorious in Ukraine. The paper urged Iranian authorities to remain vigilant and strategise ways to mitigate the consequences of such a deal.A similar concern was raised by the reformist Shargh daily in an article titled “Will Tehran Be Sacrificed in a Trump-Putin Deal?”. The publication urged Iranian authorities to swiftly decide whether to pursue direct negotiations with the US over its nuclear programme. An expert …
