The incident took place when a container truck collided with a bus. The truck ran over passengers standing in front of the parked vehicle, according to local police. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath acknowledged the incident and extended his condolences to the grieving families. He instructed officials to promptly reach the scene and accelerate relief operations. The accident took place at approximately 2:45 am in the Sureer police station area. A bus travelling from Noida to Rasulabad in Kanpur Dehat district had stopped on the Yamuna Expressway to allow passengers to relieve themselves.
