Veer Chotrani bowed out in the second round of the 2026 PSA Squash World Championships, losing to World No. 1 Mostafa Asal in Giza, Egypt, on Sunday. Veer was India’s last man standing at the tournament, but he couldn’t offer much resistance to the defending champion, conceding a straight-game defeat, 5-11, 2-11, 4-11. The home favourite showed his class and outpowered Veer, who could only score 11 points from the three games and exited in the Round of 32. This will be Veer’s back-to-back second-round exit at the World Championships, following his defeat last year to then world no.1 Ali Farag.
