K. has said that priority is being given to women’s development and employment in the district, and 29,156 Self-Help Groups (SHGs) remceived loans to the tune of ₹1,828 crore The Collector, along with SP K. Pratap Shiva Kishore and Joint Collector P. Dhatri Reddy participated in the Republic Day celebrations on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Vetri Selvi said that more than 3 lakh houses were being constructed in the district at a cost of ₹1,868 crore under the NTR Gruha Nirmana Padhakam. The Collector said about 17,000 pregnant women and 97,000 children were being provided with a nutritious diet at a cost of ₹15 crore. As many as 1,587 cases were registered under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 200 were settled through counselling, and 1,888 cases were in the court.
