The victims, pulled out of the water by rescue teams, were brought ashore where fellow tourists attempted to revive them before they were declared dead. People from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and other States, who were stranded in Vietnam following the accident, arrived at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) on Sunday night. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed grief over the tragedy and directed officials to provide all possible assistance to the bereaved families and ensure the safe return of the survivors to the State. The deceased from Andhra Pradesh were identified as Nallapeta Adiseshaiah Ravi Teja, Mudium Sreedhar of Kadapa and Gelli Jaya Lakshmi of Machilipatnam. The respective district administrations have contacted the victims’ families and are extending all necessary assistance. Some of the Indian tourists killed after a speedboat capsized in southern Vietnam were employees associated with Lava Mobiles, the company said in a statement issued on Saturday. 15 Indian tourists were killed in the incident.
