Jasir Bilal Wani, who is one of the key suspects in the Delhi Red Fort blast case, was produced before a Delhi court on Wednesday. A Delhi court on Thursday sent Jasir Bilal Wani, a key accused in the Red Fort blast case, to the National Investigating Agency’s custody for seven days. Wani was produced by the agency as the 10-day custody granted by the Principal Sessions and District Judge, Anju Bajaj Chandna, on November 18 was set to end today. Red Fort blast case accused Jasir Bilal Wani remanded in 10-day NIA custody

A special court at Delhi’s Patiala House on Tuesday remanded Jasir Bilal Wani, also known as Danish, to the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) custody for 10 days in connection with the November 10 blast in the national capital, news agency ANI reported. He was produced before the court amid heavy security arrangements earlier in the day. Following a closed-door hearing, Principal District and Sessions Judge (Special NIA Judge) Anju Bajaj Chandana granted the NIA Wani’s 10-day custodial remand, ANI reported. According to court sources, the NIA argued that Wani’s custodial interrogation was essential to uncover “the larger conspiracy” behind the November 10 Delhi Red Fort blast. The agency submitted that the blast was intended “to strike terror and panic in the minds of people in the country as well as to threaten public order”, ANI reported.
