Manav Suthar Joins Warwickshire After Dream India Test Debut

The youngster Manav Suthar is set to make his first stint in County Cricket after signing a short-term deal with Warwickshire. The left-arm spinner made an impressive test debut for India in the one-off test against Afghanistan, where he returned with figures of 7/62, including a six-wicket haul in the first innings. The 23-year old had an impressive first-class record, having claimed 129 wickets in 29 matches before earning his test cap. He will be available for the next two fixtures with Warwickshire against Yorkshire and Somerset. The county stint is expected to provide valuable exposure ahead of India’s two-test tour of Sri Lanka in August. The Indian international will be available for selection for the next two rounds of the Rothesay County Championship,” confirmed Warwickshire in a statement. The 34 year old Josh Cobb has retired from Professional Cricket to take up new role as Academy lead at Warwickshire. The batting all-rounder has played 448 professional games across a career which startedat Leicestershire in 2007 and has represented two other Counties in Northamptonshire and Worcestershire. He also part of Dhaka Gladiators in Bangladesh Premier League where the side won the title in 2013 and has also captained Welsh Fire in The Hundred. The Sri Lankan seamer Vishwa Fernando has signed for Warwickshire for the start of the County Championship campaign this season. Fernando picked 79 test wickets, including a four-wicket haul in his last outing in South Africa in December, and will be available for Division One games in April. Aamir Jamal(Image: PCB) Pakistan all-rounder Aamir Jamal joins Warwickshire as an overseas player on a multi-format contract until the end of July. Aamir Jamal became sensational in international cricket right after his 18 wickets in three matches in his maiden Test series for Pakistan in Australia late last year. Aamir Jamal made his T20I debut on 28 September 2022, against England while made his Test debut on 14 December 2023 against Australia.
