WhatsApp Reportedly Developing Unified Chat Media Hub Feature for Web Client

WhatsApp is reportedly working on a feature that will make it easier for users to view and manage all the media that they have received or sent while using WhatsApp Web. A new unified media browser, which is currently in development, is expected to roll out to WhatsApp Web users in the future. WhatsApp already offers a similar unified media section on WhatsApp for Android and iOS that allows users to view all media across chats and groups on their smartphone. WhatsApp Message Translation Feature Spotted on Latest Beta Version

WhatsApp Message Translation Feature Spotted on Latest Beta Version

WhatsApp has begun testing a new message translation feature on the latest beta version of the app for Android smartphones. A feature tracker spotted a new settings option that enables seamless, automatic on-device translation of messages. WhatsApp offers end-to-end encryption (E2EE) for messages, so the new ‘translate messages’ feature processes messages on a user’s device, instead of using the company’s servers. WhatsApp will ask users to select and download language packs to use the translation feature on a smartphone. WhatsApp Message Translation Feature Uses Offline Language Packs After updating to WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.12.25, some beta testers can access a new ‘Translate Messages’ feature. A new toggle appears under the Chat lock setting on per-chat basis. According to details shared by feature tracker WABetaInfo, the platform has been working on the feature since July 2024. The feature works in chats and WhatsApp channels. How to Add Music to Your WhatsApp Status

How to Add Music to Your WhatsApp Status

WhatsApp recently began rolling out a new feature that allows you to add music to your WhatsApp Status. Just like Meta’s other social platforms Instagram and Facebook, you can now add up to 15 seconds of music for an image and up to 60 seconds when uploading a video. WhatsApp Status updates — including those with music — are protected with end-to-end encryption (so WhatsApp can’t see which songs are added to a Status) and will be available for 24 hours after they are posted. We’ve tested the new feature that lets you add music to your Status on the latest version of WhatsApp for iOS and Android. The WhatsApp Status composer now includes a new music icon, which displays a pop-up card when tapped. You can search for specific tracks, or select one of several tracks that are popular in your region. Uploading an image with music to WhatsApp Status   Once you’ve selected a music track, you can check your Status audience, or make additional edits and mention other users or groups before …
