(Representational) Mumbai: A 63-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death in Maharashtra’s Mumbai, police said on Tuesday. According to officials, the victim, identified as Jyoti Shah, was found dead inside her aparin the Nepean Sea Road area of South Mumbai. Police said that they were examining the CCTV footage of the building, adding that they suspect the involvement of the victim’s newly recruited house-help in the crime. The Malabar Hill police have registered an FIR in the matter under section 302 of the IPC, and initiated a probe into the same. As per the police, the victim lived with her husband, Mukesh Shah, who owns a jewellery shop in Mumbai. “The house-help, who was recently recruited, is reportedly missing since the time of the incident,” they added. A woman was found dead after falling almost 100 feet inside a cave in southwestern Virginia, according to officials. (Representational) New Delhi: An elderly woman’s body was found wrapped in plastic inside a bed box on Friday after her family reported that a foul smell was emanating from the ground-floor bedroom at their residence, police said. The Asha Devi (60) went missing from Delhi’s Nand Nagri on December 10. On December 13, her son Mahavir Singh (33) filed a missing complaint at the Nand Nagri police station. In the missing report, Mr Singh claimed that on December 10, the deceased had come to Nand Nagri to collect rent from her tenants, following which she went missing. On Friday, Asha Devi’s family members reported a foul smell coming from the ground floor of their residence in Delhi’s Harsh Vihar.
